United States Department of Agriculture - Rural Development
The United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development (USDA-RD) offers loans, grants, and loan guarantees to help create jobs and support economic development and essential services such as housing; health care; first responder services and equipment; and water, electric, and communications infrastructure. Rural Development helps rural residents buy or rent safe, affordable housing and make health and safety repairs to their homes.

Colorado Division of Housing
The Colorado Division of Housing (CDOH) partners with local communities to create housing opportunities for Coloradans who face the greatest challenges to accessing affordable, safe, and secure homes. Increasing and preserving Colorado's inventory of affordable housing. Managing rental assistance vouchers. Creating and supporting collaborative approaches to end homelessness.

Colorado Housing and Finance Authority
The Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) strengthens Colorado by investing in affordable housing and community development. We offer financial resources to strengthen homeownership, affordable rental housing, and businesses. CHFA is the allocating agency for the Federal Credit and State Credit programs in Colorado.
The 1986 Tax Reform Act created the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, under Section 42 of the Code, to assist the development of low-income rental housing by providing qualified Owners with income Tax Credits to reduce their federal tax obligations. Similarly, HB 14-1017 created the Colorado Low Income Housing Tax Credit program, now known as the State Housing Credit (State Credit) program, under the Colorado Act, which provides qualified Owners with income Tax Credits to reduce their State tax income obligations.

Northwest Colorado Council of Governments
Northwest Colorado Council of Governments (NWCCOG) is a collaborative organization made up of county and municipal governments that recognize the benefits of regional cooperation. NWCCOG serves 30 member jurisdictions in a six-county region of northwest Colorado, however, many of their programs and services have a broader reach extending beyond the region.

NWCCOG Economic Development District
The Northwest Colorado Council of Governments Economic Development District (NWCCOG-EDD) focuses on promoting and coordinating economic development in northwest Colorado, which includes several counties and towns. Their mission is to be a regional leader, collaborating with both public and private sectors to enhance the economic well-being and prosperity of the region. The Economic Development District is a great resource for regional reports and other housing data including needs assessments, policies, guidelines, governing documents, ordinances, strategic plans, and planning documents.
